While former Port Richey Mayor Dale Massad languishes in a Pasco County jail cell, his waterfront home has been targeted by thieves.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — While former Port Richey Mayor Dale Massad languishes in a Pasco County jail cell, his waterfront home has been targeted by thieves.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office arrested Jacob Stone, 25, of Port Richey after he was accused of selling two items stolen from Massad's home to Gold Mine Pawn, 3752 U.S. 19 in New Port Richey.
One item was an Ovation guitar in a case. Inside the case was a laminated letter signed by Massad. The other was a pair of Swarovski Optik binoculars with Massad's name written on them with a black marker. Stone received $350 for both items.

The binoculars range from $1,600 to $3,299 retail. Depending on the model, Ovation guitars retail for $500 to $2,000.

Stone was charged with dealing in stolen property and false verification of ownership. Bond was set at $10,000.
