K-9 Hero A HIT When It Comes To Taking Bite Out Of Drug Trade
The Pasco Sheriff's Office Highway Interdiction Team is keeping illegal drugs out of Pasco County with the help of some four-legged heroes.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — The Pasco County Sheriff's Office Highway Interdiction Team is keeping illegal drugs out of Pasco County with the help of some four-legged heroes.
HIT is a specialized team that focuses on keeping drugs from moving across and coming into Pasco County's major roadways. The HIT team consists of specially trained deputies and narcotics detection K-9s.
Recently, HIT units stopped a car for a traffic violation in the Hudson area, and K-9 Hero was summoned to use his keen sense of smell to see if drugs were hidden in the car.

He promptly alerted the team that he smelled something rotten, namely methamphetamine, fentanyl and other drugs.
HIT also discovered a loaded 9 mm handgun, an AR-15 gun and ammunition in the car.
