PORT RICHEY, FL -- A Port Richey man was charged with domestic aggravated assault and child abuse after sheriff's deputies said he threatened to cut a 10-year-old's head off with a sword.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, 45-year-old Kenneth Lamella is accused of pulling out a 2-foot sword, swinging it at the child's abdomen and telling him, "I'm going to cut your head off."
The child's mother found the 10-year-old crying in a bedroom. Lamella said he was only joking and apologized to the mother and child.
