Man Used 71 Fake Credit Cards To Purchase Gas: Sheriff

A 43-year-old Safety Harbor man has been accused of transporting illegal fuel and credit card fraud.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A 43-year-old Safety Harbor man has been accused of transporting illegal fuel and credit card fraud.

Pasco County Sheriff's deputies arrested Alexeis Castillo Tarrago Wednesday after the manager at a gas station at 5923 State Road 54 noticed he had nine canceled and completed credit card transactions for gas.

Deputies pulled Tarrago's Chevrolet van over and found 71 altered credit cards in the vehicle used to fraudulently purchase gas.

Deputies said Tarrago was also in possession of illegal fuel tanks, or bladders.
