Man Accused Of Videotaping, Lewd Acts In Front Of Teen Girl

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A New Port Richey man was arrested after being accused of performing sexual acts in front of a 13-year-old girl and videotaping her in the nude.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Demond Richardson, 45, of 6th Avenue was charged Monday with four counts of lewd and lascivious conduct and two counts of video voyeurism.

Detectives began investigating Richardson after the teen girl found a small surveillance video camera concealed on a bookshelf in her bedroom two weeks ago, and told her mother what she found on Nov. 6.

When detectives spoke to the girl, she also told detectives that, while she was taking a shower on Nov. 1, she noticed Richardson's cellphone propped up against the window sill in the bathroom. When she picked it up, she discovered the phone was recording her in the shower.

As detectives continued to interview the teen, she revealed that, between Aug. 13 and Sept. 28, 2018, Richardson instructed the girl to lie down on a couch with her shorts and underwear off while he masturbated.

The girl said he did this three more times over that month, assuring the girl that she didn't have to touch him. When she refused, she said he promised to buy her a hoodie sweatshirt she wanted.

After the girl told her mother about the incidents, the mother confronted Richardson, who responded, "What do you want me to say? I'm sorry."

During an interview with detectives, Richardson admitted to masturbating in front of the teen and videotaping her.
