Man Run Over, Killed While Lying In Road July 4

A 22-year-old Spring Hill man has died after being run over while lying in Lakeview Drive July 4.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A 22-year-old Spring Hill man has died after being run over while lying in Lakeview Drive July 4.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 2:27 a.m., the man was prone in the road near the intersection of Timber Wolf Court when a pickup truck driven by a 24-year-old New Port Richey man ran him over. The driver then lost control and struck a mailbox.

Troopers do not know why the man was in lying in the road.
