Man Shot in Possible Domestic Dispute

Pasco County Sheriff's deputies say a 20-year-old New Port Richey man has been taken to the hospital.

Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a New Port Richey shooting that has sent a man to the hospital.

The incident was reported to the Sheriff's Office around 11:47 a.m. today, July 31.

A woman living at 5406 MacArthur Avenue in the Elfers area with her boyfriend and a 45-year-old man had come home to find her boyfriend had been shot, Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman Melanie Snow said.  The 45-year-old is the woman's father, Snow said.

The boyfriend, identified as Mike Davis, 26, was shot in the upper body, Snow said. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment but his condition is unknown at this time.

Deputies took the  alleged shooter, Jeffey Davis, no relation to the victim, into custody Wednesday afternoon. It is believed the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute. Police have visited the home several times in response to domestic disputes, Snow said.

Davis was charged with attempted murder.
