Motorcyclist Killed After Being Struck By Car On U.S. 19

PASCO COUNTY, FL — An 18-year-old Spring Hill man died after his motorcycle was struck by a car Saturday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 11:37 p.m., a car driven by a 42-year-old Delaware woman was heading south on U.S. 19 north of Tower Drive while the 18-year-old was heading north on U.S. 19 on his motorcycle.

Troopers said the car turned in front of the motorcycle and the motorcycle struck the front right of the car. The motorcyclist was thrown off the motorcycle, which caught fire.

He died at the scene.

The driver and her passenger suffered minor injuries.
