A New Port Richey attorney has been arrested after being accused of misappropriating more than $100,000 of his clients' money.
NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A New Port Richey attorney has been arrested after being accused of misappropriating more than $100,000 of his clients' money.
On Friday, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office charged Hugh Charles Umsted, 65, of Gulf Drive with grand theft.
According to the Florida Bar, the Florida Supreme Court issued an emergency suspension March 21 of Umsted law license for "causing great public harm based upon his misappropriation of at least $82,647 in client funds.
