New Port Richey Man Accused Of Molesting Child

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL -- Pasco County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 39-year-old New Port Richey man after he was accused of fondling a child under age 12 on two occasions last August.

Carlos Rivera-Vazquez of Elaine Drive was arrested after a child said he laid on top of the child and rubbed the victim's genitals. On one occasion, when the child tried to scream for help, he reportedly placed his hand over the child's mouth and ordered the child to shut up. At that point the child bit his hand. The incident was witnessed by another juvenile.

Vazquez has been charged with lewd and lascivious molestation and fondling and is being held without bond.
