New Port Richey Man Arrested After Firing Gun At Holiday Resident
A 20-year-old New Port Richey man has been charged with attempted murder after getting into an argument and firing a gun at a Holiday man.

HOLIDAY, FL – A 20-year-old New Port Richey man has been charged with attempted murder after getting into an argument and firing a gun at a Holiday man.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Philip Shawn Hoyt Jr. of 4236 Natchez Drive, New Port Richey, and 31-year-old Ronni Carol Wells of 3551 Nixon Road, Holiday, went to the home of Jeff Bunnell, 5613 Elkhorn Blvd., Holiday, Monday, Feb.. 26, where they got into an argument with Bunnell.
Bunnell told deputies Hoyt then pointed a gun at his face. Bunnell tried to disarm Hoyt but Wells began hitting him on the back of the head with a wooden club.

Bunnell got away and ran into his house to call 911. When he came back out, Hoyt and Wells had gotten into their car. Hoyt reportedly fired three shots at Bunnell before he drove away.
Bunnell sustained injuries to the back of his head.

Hoyt and Wells were later arrested in New Port Richey. Wells has been charged with aggravated battery.
