New Port Richey Man Charged In Fatal Shooting In Spring Hill
A New Port Richey man was arrested after an argument turned deadly just before 3 a.m. Saturday outside a Spring Hill home.

SPRING HILL, FL — A New Port Richey man was arrested after an argument turned deadly just before 3 a.m. Saturday outside a Spring Hill home.
Joshua Michael Nichols, 21, of Colonial Drive has been charged with the fatal shooting of a man at 16244 Albright Road. The name of the victim has not been released.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Nichols was inside the home with several other people when the victim and another man drove to the house and parked outside a fence. An argument broke out between the victim and two people as they left the home. Hearing the argument, Nichols grabbed a shotgun and approached the car.

Witnesses told sheriff's deputies that Nichols fired once at the victim as he stood in the driveway. Nichols then ran back into the house, left the shotgun in a bedroom and fled north on Albright Road.
He was later found by deputies and charged with murder, possession of a firearm by a felon and violating probation from a Feb. 7 charge of possessing cocaine.
