New Port Richey Patch Player of the Week: Kevin Games
Mitchell Mustangs senior center fielder Kevin Games had an outstanding performance the week of March 20, contributing to two victories against the Rams and Bucs.

Kevin Games, a senior on the varsity baseball team, batted his way to victory last week. In a game against Gulf High School on Tuesday night, March 22, he went three for five with four runs batted in, three runs scored, a double, and a home run against. When the Mustangs took on the Ridgewood Rams on Friday, March 25, he went three for four with three runs batted in, a run scored and a double.
Games’ teammates credit his recent success to his new haircut and mustache, but Games believes it’s thanks to his hard work and practice, and hopes his fortunes continue. He also hopes to keep playing baseball after high school, whether at , or perhaps with teammate Conner Hale at the State College of Florida.
What do you attribute your success to this week? “Conner Hale hitting in front of me. He gets all the hitting, and people on, and then I just clean it up.”

What’s some advice to hitters trying to experience success at the plate? “Work hard, and put in a lot of practice. Get a haircut of course, too.”
How do you feel about the Wesley Chapel game coming up? “Hopefully we get in there and hit, and we’ve been hitting all week. We’ve been putting up 10 runs against the last 10 teams. Ain’t nobody better than our hitting.”
