New Port Richey Police Release Video Of Fatal Shooting At Bar

​A 56-year-old man is dead after New Port Richey Police shot him after he threatened to shoot people in a bar and pointed a gun at police.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL —The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the fatal shooting of a man by New Port Richey Police.

According to police, on Nov. 2 just after noon, Guy Bradley Able, 56, of New Port Richey was in Sullivan's Boulevard Bar at 6210 Grand Blvd. talking with fellow customers when he began threatening to shoot people as they were walking outside.

Police were called and, when they tried to speak to Able, he pulled out his gun and pointed it at the officers. Police shot him and immediately started first aid before fire rescue crews took him to North Bay Hospital.

Able was pronounced dead at the hospital.
