I want to personally thank NPR Public Works Director Sherman Applegate for the assistance that he and his department gave to the Congress Park residents for their neighborhood volunteer beautification effort. City crews worked on the weekend hauling off old furniture, Debris from abandoned and neglected properties, and junk that was able to make it's way to the street for pickup. Mr Applegate met with area residents during evening hours to coordinate the effort, and was very supportive of our efforts to clean up Congress Park. I want to send a big Thank You to the Public Works Department and Mr. Applegate for their help.
