A new artists’ exhibition, entitled Small World, Big Love will debut at the
Downtown New Port Richey Art Gallery on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 6:00
to 9:00 p.m. at the gallery, located at 6231 Grand Blvd. in New Port Richey.
The general public is invited to view the new
exhibition at an opening reception, which will display mixed media artwork and
photography by member artists and local school children. All works are created around the theme of
kids and animals. From portraits and
sculpture, to photography and prints, each piece will in some way convey the
endearing qualities of children and animals, and the love and close bonding
that occur between humans and their pets.
A special collection of works by the art students of
Day Spring Academy Middle School will be included in the opening. The featured artist at the October exhibition is
photographer, Paula Showen, who will be exhibiting portraits of local area
children. Ms. Showen has been photographing children for decades and is
well known throughout the Pasco County community for her creative and unique
style, which incorporates the latest trends in photography.

ruffled rompers. As an added bonus, Ms. Showen will offer attendees the
ability to schedule a mini-session photo portrait of their child for the
Holidays.
The
exhibit will continue through the entire month of October. Come join us at the
opening reception and enjoy wine and a variety of cheeses provided through the
courtesy of Cocktails Lounge and Sweetbay Supermarket of New Port Richey. Music
will be provided, compliments of John Hughes, saxophone and clarinet performer.
Due to the theme of the exhibition, attendees are encouraged to bring children
and pets.
