Online Homework Only: Is It the Right Move?
A local elementary school recently sent home a note informing parents that homework would only be available online.

While parents at Port Richey’s Chasco Elementary School are learning a note sent home that advised them homework would only be available online was an error, the snafu does raise a question:
As technology becomes more readily available is it time to toss out paper-and-pencil homework in favor of online assignments?
The Chasco situation was brought to light by Bay News 9. The station reported parents at the school received a note that said due to budget cuts, paper homework would no longer be sent home. All homework was transitioning online.

The Pasco County School district, however, said the note was a mistake. Paper homework would still be available for those who could not access work online.
