PASCO COUNTY, FL — The 2020 United Sates Census will be available online, making participation easier than ever. This nationwide population count comes every ten years, and an accurate count allows Pasco County to be fairly represented congressionally, and awarded maximum funding for schools, hospitals, roads, and much more.

In mid-March, Pasco residents will begin receiving invitations to complete the 2020 Census. Once the invitation arrives, you can to respond online via my2020census.gov, over the phone or by mail. Participation is quick and easy and takes only a few minutes.

The Census survey collects basic statistical information. The census does not ask for Social Security numbers, citizenship status or other sensitive personal information.

Census responses are secure, confidential and protected by law -- no personal information can be shared with anyone, including other government agencies.

Billions of dollars in federal aid is guided by census data. Pasco County is experiencing exceptional growth and needs the funding to support its communities. Its goal is 100 percent participation.

Pasco County commissioners appointed 10 local leaders to the Complete Count Committee, which will focus on specific under counted communities in Pasco that were not fully represented in the previous census. If you do not respond to the initial invitation, a Census Bureau worker may visit you in person.
