Pasco County Recognizes ‘Star’ Employees Of The Year

PASCO COUNTY, FL — Pasco County Government has recognized its Star Team, Star Performer and Star Leader of the Year for 2022.

These annual awards allow team members to nominate their peers based on outstanding job performance, devotion to duty and cooperation observed during the year. Nominations are submitted by department and branches, and the county's leadership team votes for the top performers.

Pasco County’s 2022 Star Team of the Year is the Plat Review Team. This group guides the subdivision plat process, working in step with developers to ensure a smooth process. They average about 60 plats a year, using innovative technology to make sure reviews and comments are processed quickly, according to the county.

Jordan Miltner, digital media coordinator with Pasco County Libraries, is the 2022 Star Performer of the Year. Miltner continues to grow in her position, resulting in increased engagement on the libraries’ social media channels, said the county.

Senior Services program coordinator Veronica Ignat is Pasco County’s 2022 Star Leader of the Year. Her fellow employees said Ignat is the embodiment of Pasco County's core values with a transformational leadership style that's had a major impact on the Senior Services Division and Community Services Department. Additionally, she’s pioneered several, innovative methodologies for motivating and inspiring team members.

“Pasco County continues to attract top-notch, customer-service focused team members,” said County Commission Chairman Jack Mariano. “These awards are our way of recognizing these innovative, talented team members who make an impact in the lives of people in Pasco County every day. We couldn’t do it without you.”

The Pasco Board of County Commissioners formally recognized the winners with a resolution during the Jan. 24 board meeting.
