Pasco County Sandbag Sites Open ‘Until Further Notice’
Breaking: As heavy rain pummels the area, Pasco County is offering free sandbags to residents.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — Pasco County residents with flooding concerns have a few places to turn for help. The county has announced its sandbag operations will run until further notice as heavy rain continues to pummel the area.
Pasco County remains under a flood watch until 8 p.m. Tuesday as a low pressure system continues to dump heavy rain on the region. Forecasters at the National Weather Service expect between 2 and 4 inches of rain to fall in the area through Wednesday with more rain anticipated along the Nature Coast.
Pasco residents in need of sandbags will find the following locations available to serve them between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.:

- West Pasco Government Center, 7356 State St., New Port Richey
- J.W. Mitchell Park, 4025 Little Road, New Port Richey
- Veterans Memorial Park, 14333 Hicks Road, Hudson
All three locations are self-serve. Residents are asked to bring their own shovels, but sandbags will be provided.
The city of New Port Richey is also offering sandbags at 6240 Pine Hill Road between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
