PASCO COUNTY, FL — In a time-honored firehouse tradition, members of the Pasco County Fire Rescue pushed the department's new Engine 14 into its bay to celebrate its arrival.
The push-in ceremony dates back more than 100 years to a time when fire equipment was drawn by horse. After a call, firefighters had to push their fire engines back into the station.
Engine 14 is an E-One Typhoon engine manufactured in Ocala with input from the Pasco County Fire Rescue's design and safety committee made up of firefighters from the field and members of the logistics team.
