HOLIDAY, FL — Pasco County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a 39-year-old Holiday man after they say he held a woman captive for a week, beating her and threatening her life.

According to the sheriff's office, Carver held the woman captive in a home and prevented her from calling 911 by breaking multiple phones.

On several occasions, deputies say Carver put the woman in a closet and barricaded it with a dresser.
Deputies say he also kicked and struck the victim with his hands, a plastic baby bathtub and shoes on the face and torso, causing her to have a black and swollen eye, bruises on her neck, chest and arms, and cuts on her shins and feet.

He also repeatedly placed her in a choke hold, saying, "Do you want me to f..king kill you? I'll bury you." At one point, he choked her so hard she passed out. Another time, he threatened to cut her finger off with a box cutter.
While locked in the closet, the victim wrote a note begging neighbors to call the police in the hopes that she would have a chance to throw it over the backyard fence.
She eventually escaped through a sliding glass door and ran to a neighbor who called 911.
Carver is being held without bond.
