Pasco Tax Collector Mike Fasano Announces $60,000 Raised for Various Charities
From October 2013 through the end of 2014 a total of $60,000 was raised at the Pasco County Tax Collector's Office.

When Mike Fasano became Pasco County’s tax collector in 2013 one of his top priorities was to raise funds for and awareness of various charitable organizations. From October 2013 through the end of 2014 a total of $60,000 was raised at the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office. These dollars help fund groups that do everything from feeding the needy to supporting the men and women serving in the United States Armed Services.
Many organizations have specialty license plates and registration and drivers license charitable check-offs which allow members of the community to directly support the charity of their choice. Since not all organizations have the direct donation options that some do, the Pasco County Tax Collector’s office has held food, cash, toy & gift drives. During the past 15 months the following organizations have received donations and/ or partnered with the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office to provide goods and services to those in need:
The Able Trust, Blind Services Foundation of Florida, Prevent Blindness Florida, The Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program, The James Patrick Work Incentive Program, Florida Association of Centers for Independent Living, Support Our Troops, Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Drive, Be a Santa to a Senior, Farm Share, The Volunteer Way, Lighthouse for the Blind, Gulfside Hospice & Palliative Care, Guardian ad Litem Program, Sertoma Speech & Hearing Foundation, Lifelink/ Donate Life, ARC Florida – Center for Independence, Pack-a-Sack 4 Kids, AAA Traffic Safety Foundation, Florida Breast Cancer Foundation, Terri’s Tears Foundation, Toys 4 Tots & One Community’s Hunger Walk.

“We have the best staff a tax collector could ever want,” states Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “Without their hard work these organizations would not have been the beneficiaries of these funds and other support. The efforts of the staff and the generosity of members of our community have made the $60,000 in donations possible.”
In addition to financial support, greater awareness of these programs has been achieved. Pasco County Tax Collector Mike Fasano plans to continue providing charitable fundraising and awareness campaigns for organizations long into the future.
