Patch Player Spotlight: Holley A Vital Part of Mustang's Offense
"He's been waiting four years for this opportunity, and he's making the most of it."

There have been many contributors to the Mitchell Mustangs 3-0 start this season. In a game against Ridgewood Sept. 16, it was fullback Mordell Holley.
Holley ran for 116 yards on 15 carries with three touchdowns, as the Mustangs defeated the Rams 33-0. Although the Mustangs have used a running back by committee approach on offense, it is Holley who is leading Mitchell with 283 yards rushing at nearly six yards per carry.
Mitchell head coach Scott Schmitz is pleased to have Holley at fullback in his Wing-T offense.

"He runs very hard." Schmitz said. "He's the prototypical Wing-T fullback, in that he's very good at not being tackled for a loss. He hasn't lost a yard this year on any of his carries. He's been waiting four years for this opportunity, and he's making the most of it."
Mitchell will need a big game from Holley as they take on the undefeated River Ridge Royal Knights on Friday night in the 6A-district 6 opener for both teams.
