Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck On Congress Street
A 51-year-old woman was killed Wednesday when she was struck by a car while crossing Congress Street.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL -- A 51-year-old woman was killed Wednesday when she was struck by a car while crossing Congress Street.
According to New Port Richey Police, Melissa Rae Sandberg was crossing the road just north of Kentucky Avenue outside of the crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle driven by Richard John Barry, 70, of Port Richey.
Sandberg was taken to Morton Plant North Bay Hospital where she later died of her injuries.
