Player spotlight: Malik Moore, OLB, River Ridge
Moore's bog fourth quarter propels Royal Knights to big win.

Coming into the 2011 season, Malik Moore was one of the unknown pieces in the veteran-filled team.
Moore previously played basketball at River Ridge, but this is his first season playing high school football. He has proven to be a quick study on the football field by being one of the main cogs in the Knights' 3-0 start.
In River Ridge's district opener, a 20-10 win over previously undefeated Mitchell, Moore's big 4th quarter helped hold off the Mustangs.

Moore was all over the field, recording 14 tackles and three quarterback sacks. All of the sacks came in the fourth quarter, when Mitchell was trying to get back in the game.
River Ridge head coach couldn't be happier with Moore's progression and his big game against the Mustangs.

"He played outstanding," Benjamin said. "Every week he's getting better. He's real raw, but he's got so much athletic ability and he's picking up the game more every week."
