The
Downtown New Port Richey Art Gallery will host its monthly open microphone
poetry reading Friday, March 28th from 6:30 to 8 pm at the Gallery,
located at 6231 Grand Blvd. in New Port Richey.
Combined
with an evening of poetry readings will be a performance of the popular one-act
plays by local playwright and artist Ralph Annan. The humorous plays are
performed by members of the Old Time Radio group from Spring Hill, FL. This
month the play, which is a comedy, is entitled Trish and Fran:
Park Bench Philosophers is set, as the title suggests, on a park bench.
Trish and Fran discuss and resolve -- according to them – major problems in the
world. Attend the performance and find out what they believe the solutions are.
After
the play, poetry readings and discussions will be held. Anyone may participate,
so attendees and aspiring poets are encouraged to bring their own work, or
poetry that has special meaning to them. Bring along friends for a fun, literary
evening. The event is free to the public.
