Police: Woman Picks Up Christmas Tree, Tries to Run Someone Over

Woman also had a suspended or revoked license, according to police.

A Gainesville woman was arrested Monday night after attempting to run over another woman while picking up her Christmas tree, according a Gainesville Sun report.

Dominique Latoya Sherman, 25, got into an argument with her sister at a home on Southeast 12th Street when she drove there to get a Christmas tree, according to the paper. The argument got heated and Sherman spit in her sister’s face.

When another woman intervened, Sherman got into her car and tried to run over either her sister or the other woman, the Sun reports.

Sherman later returned threatening to beat the two women up, police told the Sun. She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, battery and driving on a suspended or revoked license.
