Port Richey Man Accused Of Shoving Woman For Changing Thermostat

PORT RICHEY, FL -- Pasco deputies arrested a 61-year-old Port Richey man accused of battering his female roommate when she tried to change the thermostat.

Dana Ray Vandine of Stoneybrook Path was charged with battery on Thursday.

The roommate told deputies that she was in the process of adjusting the thermostat when Vandine smacked her hand away and then shoved her.

Vandine denied the allegations but another tenant who witnessed the encounter confirmed the woman's story.

Vandine was placed in the Land O' Lakes Detention Center on a $500 bond.
