Port Richey Woman Accused Of Shooting Man In Neck

A 57-year-old Port Richey woman is accused of shooting into a vehicle, critically injuring one person.

PORT RICHEY, FL — A 57-year-old Port Richey woman has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after being accused of shooting into a vehicle parked on her street, critically injuring one person.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, four people were sitting in a vehicle on Judith Crescent Drive when they said Lisa Upton pulled up behind them in an SUV. The four people said she got out of her SUV, yelled "Get the f..k out" at them and then shot a handgun once into their vehicle.

The bullet struck a passenger in the neck and then ricocheted and struck another occupant in the forearm. The victim who was struck in the neck drove himself to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point where he is in critical condition. The other victim was treated on the scene by Pasco County Fire Rescue.

The victims said they did not know why Upton shot at them.

When interviewed, deputies said Upton admitted to shooting her gun. No reason was given why.
