Port Richey Woman Hit, Killed By Pasco Sheriff's Cruiser

PORT RICHEY, FL -- A 62-year-old woman died after being struck by an unmarked Pasco County Sheriff's patrol car while crossing U.S. 19 Wednesday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 9 p.m. July 10, Deputy Daniel Daugherty, 29, was driving an unmarked sheriff's Dodge Charger north on U.S. 19 approaching Johnson Road when Regina C. Breslin of Port Richey stepped into the patrol car's path.

Breslin died at the scene.
