Easter 2016: Publix, Winn-Dixie Store Hours

Tampa Bay area residents with big Easter plans will want to make their list and check it twice on Saturday if Publix is their grocery store of choice.

The popular Lakeland-based grocery store says all of its locations will be closed in observance of Easter on Sunday, March 27.

Winn-Dixie shoppers, however, will find stores in that chain will observe their regular hours Easter Sunday “to deliver the convenience our customers want at the prices they need for last-minute shopping needs,” Meredith Holland, spokeswoman, wrote in an email to Patch.

Leading up to the holiday, both Publix and Winn-Dixie have ongoing sales on items necessary for traditional Easter dinners. Publix premium semi-boneless ham halves are selling for $1.69 a pound, according to the store’s weekly flier. Meanwhile, Winn-Dixie is offering its shank portion smoked ham for $1 a pound. Both stores have other holiday-related sales items, including chocolate bunnies, bakery items, plush Easter items, cards and more.
