Representative Mike Fasano Named Florida Sheriffs Association’s 2013 Legislative Champion

State Representative Mike Fasano was named the Florida Sheriffs Association's 2013 Legislative Champion.  In a ceremony hosted by Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco on June 17, 2013 the award was presented to Representative Fasano.

The award from Florida Sheriffs Association President Sheriff Susan Benton states "in appreciation for support of legislation that assists Sheriffs in Florida in better serving the citizens of our state."  Sheriff Benton is Sheriff of Highlands County.

"Representative Fasano is a strong advocate for law enforcement and his efforts to fight the illegal use of prescription pills has saved lives," states Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco.

"I have long advocated on behalf of Florida's law enforcement community," Representative Mike Fasano states.  "I am humbled that the Florida Sheriffs Association has honored me with this cherished award. I look forward to continuing to work with the sheriffs to make certain that our community annd our state are as safe as possible."
