Riverview Man Killed In Wrong-Way Crash On U.S. 301
A 21-year-old man died following a wrong-way crash on U.S. 301 on Saturday night.
SUN CITY CENTER, FL -- A 21-year-old man died following a wrong-way crash on U.S. 301 on Saturday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Rene Vasquez of Riverview was driving a Toyota Corolla north in the southbound lanes of U.S. 301, south of Bishop Road, at 11:57 p.m. May 11 when he collided head on with a Hyundai driven by Jason Phong Nguyen, 31, of Parrish.
Vasquez was pronounced dead at the scene. Nguyen was taken to Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries.
