ROTARY CLUB OF SEVEN SPRINGS INSTALLS NEW BOARD

The Rotary Club of Seven Springs held its 26th annual installation and awards banquet on June 15 at the Fox Hollow Golf and Country Club. Outgoing president Trish Kley, in recognition for her exemplary year of leadership now assumes the position of Immediate Past President of the Board.   Jeff Thomas, Past President then swore in Joseph Severs as the new president of the club for 2013-14.    2013-2014 officers also sworn in include: Tara O’Connor, President-Elect; Craig Rieser, Vice President; Tim Howells, Treasurer; and Scott Post, Sergeant at Arms. Continuing to serve another year on the board are Club Administration, Angel Cook; International Projects, Dave Barzelay; Rotary International Foundation, Roz Fenton; New Generations, Terry Wright; Vocational Service, Jeff Thomas; and Fundraising, Rick Wright.  Welcomed to the Board are Membership Director, Bob Memoli, Local Service Projects, Luke Walker; and Mark Motyl as Director at Large.


Dave Barzelay was recognized and honored for his 15 years of service to International Projects.  Cynthia Armstrong was recognized for her dedication and support to the Mitchell High School Interact Club, Cheryl Sawyer was recognized for her amazing as the Chair for the Relay for Life Team and Owen Stewart was recognized for organizing 12 months of great club socials.  Craig Rieser and Roz Fenton were each awarded Rotarian of the Year and the Excellence of Merit award was presented to Nick Taldone.


Glenn Jacobs received the Jerry Scarano Achievement Award, which recognizes a member of the club who has accomplished the most in pursuing the Four Avenues of Service. Craig Rieser was named a Paul Harris Fellow, in recognition for meritorious service to the Seven Springs Rotary Club.

 Scott Post presented his daughter Jennifer Post with a Paul Harris Fellow award for her quick thinking in an emergency.  District Governor Jamie Mick recognized Becky Post for her wonderful work on the District 6950 Newsletter.


 New members to the club this year were also recognized:  Bob Bade, Glenn Jacobs, Jerry Kuss, Mark Motyl, Joseph Offerman, and Cheryl Sawyer.

The Seven Springs Rotary Club was established in 1987 and meets every Thursday morning for breakfast at 7:30 am Seven Springs Golf and Country Club in New Port Richey.


Rotary International is an organization of business and professional persons united  world-wide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards  in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
