The Jolly Old Elf intends to stick around through Dec. 23.
Reports have been coming in from all over New Port Richey that Santa has been spotted on Main Street a little early this year.
Patch checked into the rumors and has been able to uncover the truth behind the sightings.
The Jolly Old Elf himself has, in fact, set up shop on Main Street and intends to stay in town through Dec. 23.

Is it a well-deserved break from the cold of the North Pole or does Santa have other business in town?
As it turns out, he’s here to visit with kids big and small while relaxing before his big Christmas Eve ride.

"I choose a special place to visit with children each year,” Santa told Patch. “This year I'm excited to be at 5752 Main St. in downtown New Port Richey. I hope to see everyone there."
Santa’s available to meet with kids of all ages Mondays through Saturdays from noon until 6 p.m. He’s also around on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. at the 5752 Main St. address, which is across from Christina’s Restaurant, next to the Cameo Antique Mall.
We also have an inside source that tells us Mrs. Claus might stop in from time to time to make sure Santa isn’t eating too many cookies before his big night!
While families are invited to stop by and say hello, they can also have pictures taken with Mr. Claus himself. The cost is $12 for a 5-inch-by-7-inch photo or $20 for two, plus tax. Cash and credit cards are accepted.
