Scream Acres Opens Friday

Brave souls are invited to get their scare on Friday and Saturday as New Port Richey’s Starkey Wilderness Park is transformed into Scream Acres.

The two-night Halloween event features eight haunted houses and two haunted trails. It’s designed to be scary and even comes with its own warning: “Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult,” the county event’s flier states. “This event is designed to be scary/frightening and (is) not recommended for young children.”

Scream Acres costs $1 per visitor to enter. It runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 24-25 at 10500 Wilderness Park Blvd.
