Seffner Man Charged With DUI After Crash With State Trooper

A 29-year-old Seffner man has been charged with drunk driving following an accident Monday night with a Florida Highway Patrol cruiser.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — A 29-year-old Seffner man has been charged with drunk driving following an accident Monday night with a Florida Highway Patrol cruiser.

According to the FHP, at 11:50 p.m., the Seffner man was driving south in the left turn lane on Curley Road, approaching the intersection of State Road 54.

A marked FHP patrol vehicle driven by a 29-year-old trooper from Land O' Lakes was traveling east on State Road 54, approaching the intersection of Curley Road with a green light.

The FHP said the Seffner man ran a red light and collided with the cruiser, rotated and struck a barrier wall.

Both the Seffner man and trooper were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
