
Labor Day has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean summer is over in Florida.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service are predicting a pretty high chance for thunderstorms throughout the weekend with highs in or near 90 most days.
Friday brings a 50 percent chance for scattered storms during the daytime and afternoon hours. Those chances drop to about 20 percent overnight. Expect highs around 90 with a low near 75.

Things clear up a bit on Saturday when storm chances drop to about 40 percent during the daytime hours and 30 percent overnight. The high temperature is anticipated to reach about 91 with a heat index climbing to around 100. Lows, again, will fall to about 75.
Sunday harbors the greatest chance for storms throughout the day and into the evening hours at 60 percent. The weather service anticipates those storms will clear out by about 8 p.m. Highs are anticipated to reach the upper 80s as the storms roll past with lows around 75.
