Student Posted Threats On Snapchat In Hopes Of Getting Expelled
A 13-year-old New Port Richey boy told deputies that he posted two threats of violence on the Snapchat because he thought school was stupid.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A 13-year-old New Port Richey boy told deputies that he posted two threats of violence on the Snapchat because he thought school was stupid.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, the eighth-grade student at the Dayspring Academy secondary school posted a photo on Snapchat with the text, "I gonna f...ing shoot the damn school..."
He then posted a second photo with the words, "murder on my mind."

Fellow students saw the posts while riding home on the school bus. They reported the posts to their parents who contacted school authorities and the sheriff's office.
When interviewed, the boy said he posted the photos in the hopes of getting expelled.

He was taken to the juvenile assessment center and charged with making written threats to kill or do bodily harm.
