Talk Time Store Opens New Tampa Bay Location

Talk Time Store opened its 12th Tampa Bay location in Hudson Square Shopping Center.

From Asset Marketing Online: Hudson Square Shopping Center, Downtown Hudson’s premier shopping center has gotten a facelift and a new tenant. On the heels of the renovation Talk Time Store, one of the leading wireless companies in Tampa Bay, has opened its 12th Tampa Bay location leasing 1,200 square feet at the center. Occupancy now tops 90% at the 90,000 square foot retail center located across from the community’s acclaimed Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point.

The entire community is involved in the resurgence of Hudson, said Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point marketing director Kurt J. Conover. It benefits us all when landlords and business owners invest in the community. The shopping center is an important amenity to our staff and visitors.”

Pattie DeWitt of Florida Retail Partners, an X Team partner, negotiated the lease with Talk Time, Inc a Metro PCS provider. “It was such a pleasure working with Talk Time owner Fernando Mejia,” said DeWitt. “Fernando is an integral part of the community and is a real small business success story. He is a young entrepreneur making a real difference in the communities in which he has stores.” In March alone he has opened three stores in Pasco County employing many bi-lingual employees and has been featured in La Gazetta as Young Hispanic Entrepreneurs in Greater of Tampa Bay.

“We are always looking for locations centered around our customer base,” said Mejia. “There is a lot of demand for our service in the area and Hudson Square is a great location. Traffic at the store has exceeded our expectations.”

Hudson Square landlord, Hudson Square Center, Inc, invested in improvements to the shopping center including painting, resurfacing and installation of LED lighting in the parking lot. Tenants like Coastal Furniture and Hudson Do It Best Hardware have also completed upgrades. Hudson Do It Best Hardware upgraded its store inside and out including a new channel letter sign. Hudson Square is anchored by Winn Dixie, Hudson Hardware and Coastal Furniture.

“In small communities like Hudson small changes bring big results. There is such gratification in handling leasing responsibilities for a shopping center that is such an important part of its community. There has been a lot of excitement about the revitalization of Hudson Square, said Florida Retail Partner’s DeWitt. The opening of Talk Time doesn’t just benefit the center but the whole community. Its owner is such an active part of the communities in which he works. With such great landlord and tenant support we look forward to having a fully leased center.” Hudson Square Shopping Center sits at the crossroads of US 19, Hudson Avenue and Fivay Road.

Talk Time, Inc has 12 stores in the Greater Tampa Bay area and has been operating for 11 years.
