From the Office of the Pasco County Tax Collector: Pasco County Tax Collector Mike Fasano announces that the Pioneer Florida Museum in Dade City, and the West Pasco Historical Society in New Port Richey, will be featured as the joint charities of the month at the tax collector’s offices during the month of August. The Pioneer Florida Museum is dedicated to preserving the rich history of Pasco’s pioneer past. The West Pasco Historical Society likewise preserves and shares the important events that shaped West Pasco’s place in history.

The Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office will promote both non-profit organizations at the four tax collector offices that will be open during August: West Pasco Government Center (New Port Richey), Land O’ Lakes (north of the Central Pasco Government Center), Wesley Chapel (4610 Pet Lane, Lutz) and the East Pasco Government Center (Dade City). All donations made during this campaign will be split evenly between the two charities.

“Pasco County is truly a county that has seen enormous change since its founding in the late 1800’s,” comments Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “These two respected organizations are the guardians of the past for present and future generations. With a shared mission to preserve history and share it through education, historical preservation and other means, it is an honor to feature both as joint charities of the month. Please consider making a donation to help carry on Pasco County’s rich heritage for generations to come.”
