Teacher Accused of Having 'Sexual Encounters' With Student
Pasco County deputies say the meetings took place before the boy's 18th birthday.

A 25-year-old Anclote High School teacher was arrested Monday after Pasco County deputies say she engaged in sexual activity with a student before his 18th birthday.
Tenisha Dixon of Clearwater was charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor. She was booked into the Pasco County Jail and later released in lieu of $10,000 bond.
Dixon, a probable cause affidavit stated, messaged the student via Facebook on April 13, 2014, with her phone number, asking him to call her. The two, the report said, then met a Sims Park in New Port Richey and had a sexual encounter. Several other meetings occurred between April and July, the report stated, prior to the boy’s birthday.

Dixon was 24 at the time of the alleged activity, the report noted.
The detective assigned to the case “obtained downloaded images of the text messages showing the correspondence between the two,” the affidavit stated. During an interview, Dixon provided deputies with her phone number, which coincided with the number used by the victim.

“The defendant said no other person has access to her phone, passwords or had knowledge of her Facebook account,” the affidavit said.
It is unclear what action, if any, Pasco County Schools has taken at this point. It is also unclear what position Dixon holds at Anclote High. School district spokeswoman Linda Cobbe was not immediately available for comment. Pasco students don’t return to class from the winter break until Tuesday.
