Teen Bicyclist Killed In Hudson Crash On Dark Road: FL Highway Patrol
A 15-year-old bicyclist was killed Thursday morning after being hit by a car on a dark, unlit Hudson road, the FL Highway Patrol said.
HUDSON, FL — A 15-year-old bicyclist died Thursday morning after being hit by a car, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The crash happened around 6:30 a.m., when a 31-year-old Hudson man, driving east on Kitten Trail, came upon the teen, who was also heading east, near the intersection of Thompson Avenue.
Though he tried to avoid a collision, the driver hit the back of the bicycle.

The boy, who wasn’t wearing a helmet and didn’t have a light on his bike while on the dark, unlit road, was brought to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, FHP said.
He later died from his injuries.
