I've been driving along here and there in the community, waiting to see if anyone is in the Halloween spirit yet. Apparently, no one seems to have gotten the memo that in a few days it will be Halloween. A simple pumpkin or even a graveyard outside of your house is all that it takes to show your Halloween spirit, it doesn't have to be anything expensive or fancy.
When I was little, my family and I would always drive or even walk through neighborhoods to look at all the creative houses. Now I see nothing. Hardly any house is decorated. Hardly any trick-or-treaters actually treat anymore. However, there are some events going on and I do applaud you for them.
Where is the motivation, the drive that this country had? That even goes for Halloween movies! I mean, jeez, the same movies made over and over, just different actors. No creativity whatsoever. There has hardly been any good Halloween movies on lately, except some re-makes or old ones.
Halloween allows us to dress up like anyone; Princesses, Warriors, Clowns, etc; and express ourselves. As for houses, they are decorated not for just showing off, there showing that you care.
Sound off in the comment section below and let me know how you feel about this. Should there be an excuse? Is it just some dumb holiday where we get candy? I know most everyone loves candy, so what seems to be the problem?
