Many people ask me "what is a senior concierge?" Most recognize the term concierge but relate it to someone who works for a hotel or resort that assists guests by performing various tasks such as making restaurant reservations, arranging for spa services, and booking transportation. Senior concierge services are quite the same except they are tailored to the needs of the elder members of our community. Our business allows seniors time away from home to take care of their errands, arranges for medical/dental transportation, shuttle rides to and from the airport, and grocery shopping buddies. Seniors can still be in charge of their day with a little extra help from a senior concierge. Clients schedule a time for pick up and off they go to the store. They are provided safe transportation and assistance with all the shopping, including loading and unloading groceries at home. Some make a morning out of it and schedule for drug store, bank and a visit to the cleaners. Many care givers need help with organizing their loved ones' home, like the pantry or closets, and taking care of monthly bills. We do this and so much more! It is vital to our senior citizens self esteem, self worth and quality of life that they be able to continue to participate in their community and in their day to day responsibilities. It nurtures a sense of independence that can be lost in later years because of lack of transportation or help.
