PASCO COUNTY, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol has released the name of the pedestrian killed in an Oct. 27 hit-and-run cash while crossing U.S. 19 south of Sea Ranch Drive.
At 12:12 a.m., Alonzo Maurice Milton, 40, of Tampa, was attempting to walk east across U.S. 19 when he entered the path of a pickup truck. Milton died at the scene.
The pickup truck fled but left behind a chrome grill and other parts, most likely from a full-size Dodge pickup truck. Troopers also found a towel and bleach bucket at the scene and believe the driver may have worked in a pool maintenance job.
