Vending Opportunity in Parks

In today's slow economy people are looking at different ways to make additional income.  The City of New Port Richey Parks and Recreation Department has an opportunity for you!

There has been an ordinance change to allow vending in certain parks.  We are currently looking for vendors for Frances Avenue Park along with the James E. Grey Preserve.  There are a couple of different vendors that would do well in these parks.  Since both parks are on the river, we are looking for a kayak, canoe, paddle board, or other water sport vendor.

We are also looking for food vendors in both parks.  Frances Avenue Park is just down the road from Gulf Middle School, and gets a lot of foot traffic from children when school lets out at 2 pm.  An ice cream or some other type of food vendor selling snack items such as hot pretzels and hot dogs would probably do amazing there.  This is also a very busy park on the weekends.

The vending fees are $10 per day or $100 per month.  There are some additional start up costs.  To get a break down of the fees or to get additional information contact Elaine Smith at (727) 841-4560 or via email at smithe@cityofnewportrichey.org .
