Video: 11 Bullets Fly Through Window, Killing Mother In Bed

According to Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco, a 17-year-old teen shot a woman through the window of a home on Irene Loop off Trouble Creek Road.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — Pasco County sheriff's deputies are searching for three teens involved in a shooting that killed a mother, wife and nurse over the weekend.

Surveillance video shows a group of teens approaching the bedroom window of the home on Irene Loop off Trouble Creek Road in the Melodie Hills area at 1:40 a.m. Sunday. From a distance of 1 or 2 feet away, one teen fired 11 shots through the bedroom window. Inside, a husband and wife were laying in bed watching TV. The wife was struck by at least one bullet and died.

According to Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco, the fatal shooting occurred after two other shootings over the weekend. There was a drive-by shooting at the same house around 5 a.m. Saturday. Then, around midnight Saturday, there was another drive-by shooting at a home in the New Port Richey city limits.

Detectives believe groups of teens were targeting one another's homes.

"These juveniles were going back and forth shooting up neighborhoods," Nocco said. "They didn't care about the innocent lives."

At the final shooting at 1:40 a.m., the husband, who didn't realize his wife had been shot, grabbed a gun and ran outside, shooting one of the teens as they fled.

Nocco said the teen who was shot by the husband was the same teen who fired 11 bullets into the home. Kyle James Beavers, 17, sustained a minor gunshot wound. After being released from the hospital, he was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Nocco said Beavers has been arrested 18 times on charges ranging from battery to breaking into cars.

Nocco said the intended target was the couple's teenage son. So far, the son has refused to provide information to detectives on the reason for the shootings or those who were involved, said Nocco.

Nocco's asking anyone with information to come forward.

"We need your help to stop the bloodshed out there," he said.

The sheriff's office released video footage of a car that was at the scene of the shooting.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477). A $5,000 reward may be available for information leading to the arrest of individuals involved in this case.
