What You’re Saying About Today’s Wildfire Smoke
Residents throughout the Tampa Bay area are reporting a heavy smoke smell in the air.

are bringing their smoke to the Tampa Bay area today. Along with that smoke have come from several area counties.
We reported the news this morning on all 19 of Patch’s Florida sites, including New Port Richey, and here’s a sampling of what your neighbors are saying about the conditions outdoors:
“Although it is clear now, I was really surprised to see smoke covering Boca Ciega Bay earlier this am. completely obscuring the south shore. At that point the smell of smoke was between 8 and 9 here on the northern shore of the bay. Thank heavens for air conditioning!” – Patch reader Lynda
